Job Description: Christian County Government is seeking a dedicated and experienced Solid Waste Coordinator. The Solid Waste Coordinator directs the implementation for the County’s solid waste management plan and enforces the policies of Fiscal Court.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating collection, disposal and recycling and other solid waste services
- Enforcing County Solid Waste Ordinances
- Coordinating waste collection events
- Overseeing waste collection throughout the County
- Preparing reports and maintaining records related to waste management activities
- Responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to waste disposal
- Providing information to the public on solid waste issues and activities
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees and the community
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Kentucky Driver’s License
- Knowledge of waste management regulations and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
