Election Officer Information

The Christian County Clerk's Office Election Department is looking for Election Officers for the November 8, 2022 General Election.    All Election Officer's must fill out the above application and return it to our office by October 14, 2022.  All Election Officer's are required to attend the training class on November 1, 2022 at the James Bruce Convention Center at 5:30 pm.  Anyone who has already requested an application, those have already been mailed to you.  You can also go to govoteky.com, and click on KY NEEDS POLL WORKERS!, fill out the information and an email will be sent directly to our office, and we will mail you an application.

In order to be an Election Officer for Christian County, you must be a registered voter.  Every Voting Center will have at least 4 workers, probably more, in that center, Clerk, Ballot Judge, Scanner Judge, and a Sheriff.  Each position has a different job duty that is required.  We do try to put people close to their precincts, however, we do not have enough room to put everyone where they want to be, therefore we will place the worker's where they are needed.  Also, each precinct must have 2 Republicans and 2 Democrats, we also use independents and other party affiliations.
Once we place the Election Officer in the precinct they will be working on Election Day, the Election Department will mail out a letter letting the Election Officer know where they are working and in what position they will be working.
