Christian County Sample Ballot.  
The following ballot is the same ballot that will be published in the Kentucky New Era newspaper on May 5th and May 12th.  It shows all the candidates running in the May 17, 2022 Primary.  However, not everyone will have the same candidates on their individual ballot, your ballot style will depend on the voter's party, precinct, ward, etc., that you are and live in.  So, please understand that this ballot is NOT the ballot the you will be looking at when you go to vote.
There are also copies of the withdrawal paper's that Candidate Mike Walker for Magistrate 7, and City Council Candidate Elizabeth Draude filed.  These names will appear on the ballot, as their withdrawal notices were filed after the ballots were printed, however, any votes cast for these candidates will NOT count.

Absentee & early voting

Absentee Mail in voting has started!!  The portal to apply for an absentee ballot is open from April 2, 2022, until May 3, 2022.  In order to vote by mail, you must have a qualifying reason.  To make a request go to, the first box says Absentee Ballot Request click that and follow the directions.  If you do not have access to a computer or internet, please call our office at (270) 887-4107, option 4.  Once you have voted your ballot you can mail it back to our office.
There are also Ballot Box's located inside the Courthouse at the Front Door and the Back Door.  Christian County Courthouse, 511 S. Main St., Hopkinsville, KY  42240.

May 4th-6th & May 9th-11th, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, voters may come to the Courthouse for Excused Absentee Voting.  This means that you will HAVE to have a valid excuse in order to vote on these days.

May 12th-May 14, 2022, you may vote Unexcused in-person Absentee Voting from 8:00 am-4:00 pm.  The following locations will serve as early voting centers:
Bruce Convention Center-303 Conference Center Dr.
Sr. Citizens Center-1402 W. 7th St.
Voters can go to either voting center and cast their vote no matter where the voter lives.

On May 17, 2022, registered voters will be able to vote in the May Primary.  There will be 8 Polling Locations that Voters can go to in order to Vote.  The voter DOES NOT have to live in that precinct in order to vote.  The following locations will be open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm for voters to vote:
